PYRONIX V2 TEL

Featured Replies

Gentleman

Just moved house recently where there is a galaxy G2-12 installed, I've taken my PYRONIX V2 TEL SD with me and 'attempted to install it on the this galaxy panel.

I've got it powered and all numbers/name I require programmed in.

However, when I do a bell test the dialler is not dialling my phone (no delay programmed) Checked the PSTN line and its all okay.

So where do you think I am going wrong with this one? Say I've got Ouput 1001 programmed for intruder i thought i would just have to take a link from this to one of the inputs on the dialler? So when I get an intruder condition it would dial out?

Sparky by trade but not a complete rookie on alarms, understand main principles. Time to hand over to you pros on this one though.

Let me know what you think.

Thank you

Does the unit work OK when manually triggered with a free wire?

So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands

I don't know this panel but on most a intruder output will not operate on bell test. The best way to check it would be to set the system and activate it and check what happens.

Galaxy wont trigger intruder outputs on bell test.

The Galaxy panel also doesn't always have enough power on the outputs to be seen by a auto dialler ect. you may need to fit a transistorized relay to get it to work

Sorry data, how do you mean?

Could it not just operate off the bell.. I've had SD1's that can do that.

I'm just wondering, to be sure it isn't a dialler issue, have you tested the dialler by dapping a -ve wire onto the trigger, avoiding the panel completely?

Yes it will work off the galaxy

As above did you enable inputs

Did you make sure trigger level is correct on panel and on dialler

Did you try a free wire ? As dd mentioned , perhaps connect trigger input to negative if it's set to a neg trigger to see if it dials

As above if output is set to intruder then you must do intruder output test not bell test , or set the output as a bell output and then do bell test , how ever that's annoying as on test you will activate your bell each time

If you do manage to get it to dial, from memory when you answer you won't hear anything until you say hello or something

intruder is a different output type. Program it as bells from what you have said.
