Ha ha. We always used CQR for a couple of years until we started to get loads of callouts with them going Hi Res.

Moved to knights and had very few problems apart from the magnet dropping out of its glue inside the contact.

It seems like there isn't enough glue to hold it in so we now add a dab of silicone, job done.

We've had the same problem in the past but not recently. You think Knights have resolved the problem or are you still having problems?

No PMs please unless i know you or you are using this board with your proper name.

Why not take a look at the suppliers sites, they usually contain the info you need, Security Warehouse has excellent info and back up (not that the others haven't..don't want to get into trouble !!) You could also try a standard contact and use the resistors supplied with the panel, unless there is some sort of regulation that forbids this of course. I like the 'bit of silicon' idea.

I tried the Ventcroft Premium Door Contact on a few jobs 2 years ago, they look nice on domestics, easier to fit than the Elmdene I was using at the time - feck me, back to nearly every single one, reed welded closed, Knight every time now.

So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands

The manufacturers rely on professionals like yourself Datafussion to sell their products, without you..no sale..Isn't it time that these problems were put back in their court. I reckon a bit, or a lot, of complaining is overdue.
