Email and it gives you an option to receive by text if you want.

 

The vans also have tracking so you can see where the van driver is.

That's one of the reasons why we don't ship so many things ourselves. The stuff we order from security warehouse and UTC is reliably delivered straight to site / engineers house so negates the need to hold too much stock or mess around with shipping stuff ourselves. In effect you and UTC have become our outsourced stores. People still use trade counters apparently . . .

On the subject of couriers/suppliers.

Recently ordered a laptop from John Lewis - best deal available

Order 4-30pm on a Sunday afternoon, standard free carriage delivery within 5 days.

Laptop delivered next day at 10-30am.

 

So credit where due, don't think I've ever seen better than that.

Couldn't believe it. Was genuinely expecting Thursday. Thing is, it was an extra charge for next day delivery but to get Monday you usually have to get your order in pre 4-00pm on the Friday.

 

I'll certainly be considering John Lewis's next time i have something to order.
