You should be able to get a radio alarm for around 600 in our parts. A while back ess were going for the sparky market, not sure if its still the case

Since i'm sure the lovely lady is making a claim against her house insurance you would be best checking with them, see what they want and then fish about for a quote.

Hmm, 20 yrs ago+ though! You might only mean the 4 core to the bell at the bottom corner of the 1st floor window and the linked-out single PIR in the kitchen )

Awww Countless alarm made my day,  Takes me back to my monkey days.    I would say get it changed completely.   Get 3 companies out and ask for Update and new system.    I know some companies may update part of system however I know my firm point blank refuses to do Half updates and rather set up a new system.
