antinode
No idea who originally installed this, but it's the first time I've come across it before. Re-cabling the bell wire today in a domestic due to damage under the landing floor and whilst feeding the cable up through the under stairs ceiling with the rest, I noted that the 0.5mm flex to the panel also seemed to disappear up with the alarm cables. Sure enough, it's stapled under the carpet and around into the airing cupboard! Trade Member

breff
At least the carpet fitters would get what they deserve if they slice through it................... The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
alterEGO
Edit: I'll have got that wrong, would of been 4 core alarm cable if they did it.

Oxo
Never took any TBH. Was a T/O of a T/O, just tieded it up. Used a bit of savvy and avoided having to remake MICC ends. No pissing contest here.
