The mains intake is not ELV is it.

No this is LV, but I did say I feel BS7671 didn't apply to "alarm cables".

Who else carries a selection of files?

I keep a couple of files in the van.

The best thing is a hole de-bearer, wizz it round the hole three times and it's smooth as a baby's.

We still grommet all, however I would have no issue if the manufactured entry holes had no grommet, as long as the entry used for the 240v has a grommet.

So do you grommet Texecom Metal Cabs mains intake?

It's not 20mm, it's oval shaped and has a big plastic cover over it.

No, the plastic casing does the same job as a grommet.

I have always used grommets on holes manufactured or otherwise. I was originally trained as a sparks and its just ingrained into me. Never questioned whether we had to on alarms just did it anyway and will continue to do so as like mentioned above its a few pence and looks good.

Not really the flex still touches the metal edge on the back of the cab.

OTT I know but throwing it out there.
