GalaxyGuy Posted September 26, 2012 Share Posted September 26, 2012 I've used lots of these. The issues I have seen have been with panels not seeing them. My thoughts are that it's a connector contamination issue mainly with new keys. If you reseat repeatedly about 10x (with the power off), then the panel will see the key when powered up. I've also had the flash upgrade fail a couple of times, but I have specialist hardware to reprogram the on-board flash, so have managed to recover. stewalker Posted September 27, 2012 Author Share Posted September 27, 2012 What's the odds at I've just had a job come down to me today to software upgrade a panel tomorrow using a spi key. I'll see how I get on, read up on it and seems simple enough but it does say hot plugging is a no no so I'll probably avoid that. Its a large department store in a shopping center.
