Custody Suites

disagree, he failed to stop, they have no idea why so they would do the screen in it's standard to stop further drive off's and adds to the element of surprise and domination (that's why they always shout instructions). It also looked faster than 40 to me, more like 60-70 and catastrophic if he met something coming the other way the stupid old git. He got what he deserved imo.

You must have been watching a different clip as it clearly has the speed in the right hand corner.

Although i do think they went over the top

Having no experience of fitting cctv/access in custody suites and having seen video below, i was wondering if anyone can give me some insight.

As i understand it recording in them has to be kept for 90days max to comply with dpa/hra?

Who has access to the footage?

Can gp ask for footage copy as per say gp can in shop?

Is mirror recording (and presume off site?) mandatory or maybe rule of thumb, or is this Just for say gp area cams where say terrorist may attack?

Assume audio with lip sync on all cams in suite?

Assume real time recording all cams, no motion detection?

What criteria for lens/cam choice ie of the identify/recognise/detect/monitor choices whats the general rule for say, cells, or corridors?

anyway the footage

The general standard is 90 day retention of footage. But some police forces keep it for 30 days and some 5 years! RAID 5 / 6 is best practice but not required rather than mirrored recording. Generally 6fps all cameras and 25fps on charge desks with audio and lip sync etc.. but this is all dependent on the individual police force. Some run all at 25fps which when retained for 90 days @ D1 and RAID is a lot of storage... No hard and fast rules just guidelines published by the home office but no specific technical information in them just operational guidance.. Hope this helps

One point to make I worked on a Police stations DVR.

They did not know how to coopy the evidence on it. Was there to set up their computer to accept a Dynamic DVR software as they had no clue. Even though the software was on the disc provided.

What really shocked me was the fact they let me onto the main frame and then LEFT ME ALONE!!!!

I could have caused havoc, luckily for them i`m not that way inclined. Plus have more security clearances than the primeminister :D

On a tangent, working in the American Naval Atache ( not in the Embassy as some assume) and got stuck in a riser. Broke open a hatch door to get some light and had a gun stuffed into my face.

Turns out I had opened a hatch to the secure comms room, so you can imagine the capers they get up to in that room!

Frog marched hand cuffed to the Generals ofice and bollocked for a hour, eventually they recinded said they had to follow proceedure.

Warned another episode would lose us the contract.

I must say having a large hand gun stuck in your face by a marine who was at least 6ft 7 and 20 stone all of it muscle sure makes you want the bog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PMSL

~Also used to deliver items to Brize Norton, would back up the pickup to a Herc and let them load.

Asked one day where it was going, bloke opened his sidearm pouch took out his gun and told me that if I knew he would have to shoot me...............................

Obviously a pee take but I never asked again anyway!!!!
