Late reply. The IFM-110H was a 10 metre horizontal pir from FM Security at Guildford, Surrey. I do not know of any association between this company and FM Electronics (wireless manufacturers) who, at that time, were based in Gloucestershire. As yet, unable to source Bosch material as suggested.

I tend to go along with whatever Admin says, puts me in my place. But 'Honeywell' covers a few manufacturers doesn't it ?? Help me out here with some examples of actual sounders, also which cqr sounder in particular ?

Nothing wrong with Pyronix

They are quads from what I can gather. It is worth checking if any structural or other alterations have taken place since 94, also the addition of pets etc. (you know all that already, why am I writing it ?). Provided very little has changed I see no reason to go beyond a standard pir replacement (others would disagree), although these days there is a tendency toward quads, be they ADE or any other make.

Coincidence ? The pir's at my property were installed in 1994. However, I see no reason to change them since they are working perfectly. Pick-up patterns, walk tests etc. confirm. Maintenance is limited to cleaning the cover, with a quick check inside (all holes are sealed anyway) and wiping the fresnel occasionally.Probably someone can tell me why they might be, or are, in urgent need of changing.

As much as that, I must be in the one percent, Haven't tried it but their new wireless gear sounds O.K. or am I thinking of a different manufacturer !!!

I doubt if Texecom can wave a magic wand on this one, although they have a good backup service, you've done just about everything. It would be appreciated though if you could let the site know the outcome since that extra bit of input can be helpful to others.

From your posts you are obviously over and above the 'diy enthusiasts'. My suggestion, for what it's worth,would be to 'power down' and do a re-prog (that's not suggesting that there is anything wrong with your programming capabilities). Should you find that the problem persists on zone 1 after that, then you are entitled to a new panel in my humble opinion. Frustrating to say the least. Unfortunately, we've all been there at some time or another.

It's a bit late tonight (is that spelling correct?)but I'll 'have a look' this week. I should also be able to dig out my old horizontal info for the model/maker ( I only ever used the one anyway) if that's O.K. with you.

The system has been working without problems up to, and until, the Knight contact. is that correct ?

That's more like it, proper job. Thing is, does the O.P's budget stretch (I should imagine it costs a bob or two !). A crazy idea for a pro site like this but wouldn't there be something in the maplin catalogue which might do for what he has in mind ? just a thought.

Probably done this already but, Have you removed all wiring from zone 1 terminals and linked them with the correct eol's ?

In years gone by, I have used horizontals which were horizontal and avoided pets (to a degree - but not always) I have yet to source a 'pet passive' that truly does the job, regardless of manufacturer. Is there one ? I can't find it.

I agree with Datafusion, don't do anything until you've seen the latest Pyronix gear. Both Visonic and Risco are making excellent equipment and I wouldn't like to have to choose between the two, their quality tends to 'hit you in the face'. As for negative reviews for the Agility, the same could be said about almost any panel, There is bound to be a sector of 'unsatisfieds' and likewise a sector of 'Professional magazine analysts' who will look for every conceivable downside. If the specs of the panel are what YOU are looking for, go for it. Above and beyond that, though, is technical backup (even seasoned installers need it). Check out whether you can get help when, and if, you need it from the manufacturers or their designates. I gather that many professionals swear by 'Galaxy' whilst others will only use 'Gardtec', personally I wouldn't touch either of them but there might be something there which interests yourself. Also take a look at Texecom and Scantronic, again there could be something of interest. That said, you appear to have done your homework so I fail to see a problem with your choice especially as far as the pir cameras are concerned.
