  1. Life without happiness equals not enough work
  2. Unfortunately I think we all missed the boat
  3. QFA muppets are only getting the crappy jobs nowadays. Best way to go it alone is to subcontract. If you have some cash behind you you could look around for a small co to buy. Its not as simple as it seems I came from engineer engineering manager and then operations manager, I thought I was running the business as an operations manager. But little did I know, it was a big learning curve when I purchased my own business, with as Andrew says lots of 80 hour weeks, and lots of nightmares along the way. If I could start all over again I would think long and hard and then go get a job in Spain hiring deck chairs and getting laid every night by a different girl
  4. Then you will have to put up with Fa's every time next doors cat sits on your roof
  5. We can see all the pictures in your photo bucket
  6. The link opens all the pictures in your photo bucket
  7. I know I think its probably street view LOL
  8. Kingy going by Norms pic you would need one short post. You could put the beam TXer on the corner of the garage, and the Rx on a post one the leading edge of the drive on the garden side
  9. Thats a brilliant bit of photoshopping Steve I think your wasted in this industry
  10. Its a long range quad element pir, it is better than the average pir you will get with a flood light. But it wont be false alarm immune The picture takes an age to download can you not make it smaller and paste it here?
  11. Without seeing how your driveway/ car/house is set up it is difficult to advise. Although beams do have to be able to see each other they do not necessarily need to be opposite each other. So for example one beam could be mounted on the corner of the house whilst the other is on the gate post. If you can provide a rough drawing of the layout we can give you some ideas
  12. A lot of miss conceptions here. To work for an NSI co as a subcontractor you must be screened thats it. It doesnt matter if you are a member of any other body including SSAIB you just have to account for the last five years and have good credit.
  13. QFA if possible beams will give you far less false activations
  14. Before you chose your name did you check that there are no established companies using wss in this industry?
  15. WSS security?? I'm not sure thats allowed
  16. Theres still free data for the kids ipad here http://www.sambamobile.com/Home/AboutSambaMobile
  17. I like the odd prog Dragons Den, Top Gear, Jonathan Creek, Doctor Who, to name a few, note all are Beeb progs
  18. Nah print as HTML the developer then finds the bits like -customer name- address- type of call ect ect and puts them in the right place, the software even takes the engineer name off the jobsheet so it knows who to email works perfectly. They dont provide it cheap enough
  19. We are currently trialing our own web based software and so far it works very well. The developer will be selling to other alarm companies. The software should work with any database we use AM, we print the jobsheet in HTML upload it to the website and it emails directly to the engineer on the jobsheet. The jobsheet can be tailored to you exact requirements
