  2. aye whatever...i quite often open an airing cupboard door and fck me theres a folder with my name on...im guessing it self destructed in 10 seconds too..you watch too many films man....

  4. ive never found anything except dust...you should always ask the customer if its ok to go upstairs,go in a bedroom etc before doing so,gives the customer a chance to move stuff,lol
  5. the one thing you dont do is rifle thru a customers personal paperwork..wheres the trust...
  6. its a decent idea,tho it would have to contain intruder/fire/cctv etc to make it big enough to be worth buying,maybe a list of most popular panels with system set ups like maximum rios on a line output loads etc would add pages to it,the sparky one has a lot of tables with regards current capacity fixing methods grouping which we dont really use in security,tho focus on electrical safety would add to it aswell

  8. crackin work lads,hes posting on twitter how to defeat remote reset codes,oh and alarms in general....i hope your customers are reading..but were all keen to know how everythings works so its ok..
  9. as james says,tho ive seen it in the same trunk as power be it short or long runs,i treat it as alarm cable only for short runs adj power if no other option,tho i do prefer it in its own trunk/conduit or tray when surface ran,not a fan of clipping when its on show

  13. a bit harsh,at least hes aiming in the right direction,he doesnt tell people he's chubb or adt,i think he will do ok,seems to be trying to do things right,but as usual the alarm snobbery raises its head.. youve got people on the dole who wont ever work coz there lazy and take everthing,he's out at work keeping his family in a home..respect to him..
  14. ive just seen his website,and to be honest it looks nice and professional,good luck to the lad i say..i can see him being approved one day..
  15. i think he will do ok,he is trying to do things properly without i presume expeirence of the industry,i suppose he does fill a gap in the market betweeen pro installs and engineers doing private work.but wont be a threat to approved companies.customers who dont want to pay pro install prices never will so weve never lost out really..
