very good, but the op should not be railroaded into a system one installer promotes over others without comparison the op wanted advise not a hard sales pitch as a mod you should be giving advice not using it as a tool to promote your wares over others
like I say matt anyone wishing for a quote should always get others to compare,it's not like some salesmen tell lies etc basic advise from a professional alarm forum I'd have thought..
a quick google of videofied brings up plenty installers,it wouldn't be wise of a professional forum to nominate one installer, anyone not just the op would be wise to get different quotes for any product they seek advise on to compare
not in office no as the ra no doubt says so,on sites we get supplied with all sorts,I've got a full rail spec ppe kit because I have to step 2 metres on nr property on one job, same as the full roots kit for another i go to twice a year,if that's what ra states then you have to provide it..
I agree if we were to be supplied with say snickers pants I'd wear them but as we're not if I did and something happens I would be at fault
it's all about ra,the clothing you supply to engineers has to be fit for purpose,if they chose to wear what they like and something happens naturally those shark solicitors will be interested
that's where the ra and company supplied ppe comes in
agree we get supplied various gloves for various tasks, personally I don't like them but ra states you wear them,if something happens it covers both if you wear them or not..
all workwear should be company supplied and any ra carried out imo,if say engineer wore his own workwear without company approval and ends up in an accident say his trousers get caught on machinery etc who's to blame..same with boots etc
lol I've had 2 only like that from old dears, one she put salt in instead of sugar, the other which was like a kick in the nuts she used the water she had boiled her veg in...
