Its a cheapo alarm, could be 21 yrs+ old ? IIRC there's is a just a single fuse on the PCB, there is no indication when the fuse has failed because its a cheapo alarm... If they left it faulty after their visit, you have no way of proving it. The alarm in the out building, could be on a different phase or just not have duff pcb like the house alarm ? Unhappy with the service provider for you parent's alarm, get them to cancel it. you can mend it for free ?

its a cheapo alarm, if it was proper one it would know the state of the battery & also the battery fuse you can't prove if if blew recently or blew months ago... the alarm retains all it programming after total power loss, you pcb is fcuked

Upto 5mp Loop though box with hdmi output would do the job, but a 4 way DVR without a HDD would cost the same !

Your asking for bespoke mix of products, eg - car with a bike engine, it might do 0-100 in 4 seconds, but it won't have tow bar as well 1.) if you are building the house wire everything & any door / window you choose to alarm can has a concealed contact, the added benefit unless it bus device just about any wired items will work with just about any wired control panel 2.) boundary alarm ? like Yale or Harry Moss or alarm the product has no approval, when sold by high street retailers the store has proper alarm despite having a shelf full of a alarms for sale. the only way your going to get a reliable graded system is have one installed & maintained by a properly accredited alarm co. I assume your IT ? eg - would you want a software man to do the wires & a wire man to do the software...

AAn alarm where you have the engineer code & also run the cable sounds like an unusual set up. If you have a texecom wireless bell it would need swapping for a wired bell, run the cable from control panel to near the final location ? Mark the "engineer" can borrow your drill & ladders to finish up when he comes back ?

iirc, with no power the button is in alarm, so when powered up it needs reseting

its in alarm, have you pressed both button down until it turns green ?

if you do if for a living its easy enough the fault with normally be, cable, device or controls is their power at every keypad ? no = check power is provided for the keypads at the controls / power supplies then check wiring & the data line is terminated with 680omhn (or whatever) ect.. should the wiring prove okay, put each 1 keypad on data bus at the panel on short length of wire with 680omhn resistor (or whatever) to terminate the data , if every keypad don't work its probably the controls if you can afford a dog & home / property big enough for 4 keypads, you be in position for the maintainer of your security system to pop along during the week & short it out for you ?

nowt, I used to do this & the other building opposite for the landlord. The one is the pic is a 1st & 2nd floor HMO, Shop & the building on the corner is a Pizza shop I'd priced to replace a Newlec with a Kentec panel + add 2 repeaters some years ago.. he told me how much he 'd been quoted & asked me to match it... It was something laughable The other premises has is similar, 2 shops + HMO. Haes controls which I rather liked.
