  1. Hi folks. does anyone familiar with ACT know if it keeps logs of when access groups and user categories were edited. Also does it keep a log of when a card is edited .A security guard has deleted all the doors out of a few groups locking staff out of a mental health unit and there’s lots of blame going round as to who done it and when. cheers
  2. They use the Bosch divar stuff. I’m not really a fan. It’s super basic kit which is good because some of the dopes who work at the same company can fumble their way through setting them up and using them but it’s interface seems quite old fashioned. They took advice from the the guy who manages the boroughs central cctv room for road and street cameras, and the dvrs they chose couldn’t even take a 4mp camera ?
  3. Its for a local council and every building is a ion ,older scannie or menvier. We are quite restricted with what we can use. All dvr/nvr have to be Bosch
  4. Yup. And it has a horrendous sleep time. Not sure on the specifics but it feels like forever.
  5. Never used those panels. Would you recommend those ones then. Don’t actually do too much wireless ,and when we have had to in commercial places it’s normally expanding a ion with wireless expanders.
  6. As title says ,if you have to fit a wireless panel ,what do you opt for. I see a lot of suppliers pushing Ajax and ax pro lately. I know visonic have something new planned and you have your pyronix enforcer offerings.
  7. Bit of a strange situation , the milestone licence is split between various sites and the installer (not us) didn’t purchase the correct amount of licenses. So they need to buy a new copy of mile stone and a new licence for every camera. The cost is coming in a lot larger than the budget allows. I’ve gone through the cameras and can’t find any onvif settings. The cameras are about 14 years old so I fear they pre date onvif but hik have said they may still work , but I can’t see a way how.
  8. We have a site running milestone vms but want to change it to hikcentral ,has anyone had any experience getting Sony cameras working on hikvision equipment. They won’t pay to upgrade the cameras(104) until new budgets are released.
  9. That’s what worries me. Especially with 50 odd flats ,3 outside stations with potentially 100 mobile phones needing to be working on it. We’ve advised a normal video entry but The people requesting it have done their ‘research’ and want a mobile phone based system.
  10. Sorry james , they want to be able to view video on their mobiles so the existing outside stations would need replacing as they are a very old analogue system.
  11. Hi. hoping to pick some brains and see if anyone knows any suitable kit We Had a request from a customer today to replace a existing audio intercom system on a block of 50 odd flats. They want a video system. 3 outside stations on different entrances. We would normally fit a video system with a video handset but they have requested a option where instead of a video handset it will call a mobile phone. I know they do one to one systems like this but wasn’t sure if there was one that could potentially have each call button call a mobile phone or 2 per flat. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. thanks j
