  5. duh, the alarm is a security system which has requirement to have tamper circuit to detect tampering. Gabs Security goes to Mrs Smiths house & fit a system, she gives the code to Robin B'stard the painter. Robin B'stard, lets himself in every day to paint the house whilst Mrs Smith suns herself in glamorous Cleethorpes Robin takes the lid of the panel & links out a no. of circuits as advised by google / a popular alarm forum, A month or so after being paid for the painting Robin returns & does the gaff over. Mrs Smith return home to find her valuables gone, blah, blah, blah.... would normally end with legal tift & attempt to sue the alarm co.

  8. you seen the flyer ? there's a bosch g2 pir which is 31p cheaper than SW with a minimum order of 6, wow £1.80 odd saved

  12. Its not fit for purpose, analogue addressable fire alarm system, if you've a half decent architect or project manager you'll should have already been advised of this

  18. It's not consumer electronics, a skilled alarm monkey can poke 'em with a screw driver & everything is peachy (ish) Alarm monkeys can spend too much time in cupboards to have people skills....

  20. Today I've been f#cking around with a CPX with fitted 2004 ish ? Tamper on radio contact, existing PCB fitted into new case Subs asking about the code as he uses fobs... I f#ck around with a rkp on a fly lead to get the code back to 5678 Then the old git asks if it night sets the same.... & promptly types 1212 & lots perplexed that it nolonger works....
  21. radio battery low would normally list a device no. 80's are fobs 90's are sensors any high low battery fault = new battery & ensure highest & lowest options are in place The system is a piece of piss to support for someone with experience of the product This week I've had struggled with an engenius bridge, a BT homehub 5 & a thomas techincolour router ( the prricks had ceased the line & adsl) If i was a full time IT monkey I'd been much quicker
