October 10, 200520 yr comment_71577 Get a couple of stickers for your external sounders, even if you make up a name a local printer/graphics shop will sort them out for a couple of quid. Looks nice and neat but as others have said why a G3 panel and the PA buttons. I agree with your reasons tho, but i would have rather put red rings round the appropiate numbers i dont know why manafactures dont do it. Sound detectors tho. You can have your name scrolling on the dialler if you want just for a gimmick. I really can't be ar**** with it anymore. October 10, 200520 yr comment_71605 One of the worst bits of the install was fitting the mag contacts in the PVC doors. They needed fitting right where the steel reinforcing was in the door. Took hours grinding away with a dremel. If you look closely at the pic you can see where I ground the steel away Edited October 10, 200520 yr by Chewie Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/7754-a-massive-thank-you/page/2/#findComment-71605 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 A slightly angled surface mount would have done the trick..You realise you may have invalidated your 10yr door guarantee..? ........................................................ October 10, 200520 yr comment_71615 Doors were fitted when I bought the house, no idea who installed them, so not worried about guarantees. Thats the beauty of a DIY install, I can take as much time as I like making sure that it is just as I want it. Some of the things I did would be prohibitively expensive for a professional installer working to a price. October 10, 200520 yr comment_71618 Couple things, flush contacts on outward opening doors. audible only is a dying breed, should any company take it over for monitoring they would have to upgrade the panel causing disruption, i know you already had the panel but cant help thinking it would have been better to have it monitored?
