Indeed it is, inward opening.

And I did not want to pay for a monitored system. Why would I want a security company to take over an alarm I have installed

There are no shots of outward opening doors.

Pictures as clear as a bell, how many people seperate the coax from the mains going into the set, look behind most sets and its like spagetti junction.

Consider the point missed entirely.

How do you explain the lack of grommets to boxes then?

As I said before, I've seen worse, but that doesn't make it right.

There are rules and regulations and they are there for a reason. Part P was rushed in to combat that **** and a lot of poor sods lost there jobs and lively hood. Im all for part P but not the way it has been brought in and the lack of advertising the government has done.

I really can't be ar**** with it anymore.

I find gromets to be more trouble than they are worth, I have used them in the past. Upon filling the chasing, I make sure that it squeezes right into the socket box hole. The cable is completely encased with no chance of movement or touching the sharp edge of the hole.

Doesn't make any difference how you bodged it in, it's still wrong.

I have used millions of grommets and getting 2 2.5mm cables in one is no bother whatsoever. You have had a few to do and decided to rough it in instead, you've even used 1 hole per cable so you have absolutely no excuses whatsoever.

I find gromets to be more trouble than they are worth,

:fear: They're also there to stop cables stripping/nicking when you are pulling them through the holes, not just for when they're in.

Another no-no......

I guess you'll have to router the underside of the floorboards :hmm::no:

If you don't know......ask.

If you look closely that is concrete and I chased a grove out for the cables to sit in. If your careful and not a ham fisted leccy you dont nick the cables :P
