Sounds  interesting ?

Nobody appear to be able to demo their software in logical manner-

I'm intend to write a list of what I want to see,

which is an initial enquiry,

a call back to progress to sales survey (basically to create telephone log)

the creation of simple spec

the job being won & moved across to being an install

a maintenance of the this job

a corrective visit or call back being undertaken being undertaken

what reports we can get from the system

a poke around the parts data base

I doubt Iif will work like AM once did?

Ideally I want the host to provide a recording of the meeting so I can go over it a some point

IF a DB saves you a single salary PA then that’s surely a guide to its value.

why have a DB that only replaces a single admin role, the more jobs it does the more it’s value.

To “poke around” on parts isn’t enough, if you control PO your in charge of stock and able to analyse P&L on a per job basis. You can identify your SWAT and adjust or ditch those loss disaplins. I assume you do time sheets for yourself as well as staff.

I completely understand how most self employed people work and why they only need MS diary, spreadsheet and typing. The proprietor is the DB and this works ok to a level.

Different circus, same monkeys.

I'm in the final stages of a roll out of a job management platform I've been working with the company and their developers since April 21.

It's consumed a massive amount of my time and my SM's time to get it to where it is. But imo I got a good deal in as much as it's bespoke to us, mainly because their BDM promised me the moon on a stick in writing (then left 3m into the project)

This is mainly for job scheduling but also has some add on packaged that we may or may not use.

I see this as a no brainer as it saves us c4hrs per day and I have it fixed for 5 years @ £5.2k pa with no notice to cancel.

Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
