Hi Pete: Your welcome, good luck with finding the faulty item. The stop arm on tamper is basically saying, Hey someone tried to play about with your alarm and Hopefully forcing you to check as you've done or call an Engineer.

If it was just a little light on the panel saying tamper, probably nobody would bother and their properties would be left vulnerable to attack.

Good luck with installing the new system, please come back and let us know how it goes or if you have any questions.

Andy.

Got the new complete Texecom system connected up and running today,  no problems at all but disappointed  the Texecom Pir's now come with a booklet saying they no longer send instructions in the box! what's that all about? the leaflet was as big as the instructions would have been.

Hi Pete: Thanks for the update, that seems to be the way things are going nowadays.

Manufacturers not putting manuals in with things, you then have to hunt for them online to download.

Maybe they think it's more eco friendly.

The manual is 150+ pages of stuff for engineers reference.

Most manufacturers don't provide an engineers manual for the commercial grade stuff.

Considering most manuals will end up in the bin, as you only need one per engineer, it makes sense to only provide them to companies on request.

All I wanted to know was the PIR jumper settings, they could have printed that on the box it came in as al-yeti says. I got a install and user  manual with the panel
