Also they checked all their gates and found no faults, this guy had been doing it 20yrs, god knows how this gate ended up so dangerous

I read it as it ran out of the tracks due to no stops.

Some of the worst firms round here are the ones that 'specialise' in gates'...

Yes that’s right, but says the company checked all their other installations and found no faults on any? Covering up or just a one off?

Quite, just that Joe Public presumes a specialist is just that, sadly

 

Of course money comes into it and said specialist is simply quoting at the lower price they know will be accepted by leaving out pesky safety extras...

in the DM it said she pulled the gate closed & it fell on top of her, (cctv)

 

I assume when closed only gravity held it in place?

Some of us install quite a bit of automation and take safety very seriously, and some of us install a couple of gates and get to go to Italy for the weekend! 

Is the manufacturers delivery that unreliable?
