No I don't think so, and I think it is the micro x line from looking at PDF online.

    I'd guess aesthetics, smooth lines on the bottom of the PIR. In reality some numpty engineer turns up and puts screwdriver rash all over it.

How do you get the screw in when it's adjacent the ceiling? 

Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

Remove the small screw on the pcb and pull board away and fix the the rear of the housing to the surface and re attatch

No, the casing screw (hole) shown @ the top of the photo.

Umm it's the small phillips one just to the left of the red led ? 

no the lid screw, not the pcb screw

You Deffo have to remove the small pcb screw to fit it to a wall. 

 

Installation Instructions
1. Open the housing by removing the front cover. To do so, press the tab located on top of the detector.
2. Remove the PCB by unscrewing the PCB screw from the rear of the protective plastic casing. Note: Do not touch the face of the PYRO sensor.
