I put in the engineer code (no on screen confirmation that i was actually in eng mode?)

 

Removed cover, no alarm.  I was met with this mess (see pic).

 

Upon pulling off the negative battery wire the alarm sounded saying 'control panel tamper, restore required'

 

Now what?  Anyone know of someone local to Hemel Hempstead that can fix this?

    I stopped buying the spring loaded 8core so lid doesn't pop off if you loose clips or screws , tape holds it on 

    Preferably brown parcel type for quality 

    So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands

    new battery installed today, all problems instantly disappeared!

     

    FYI date stamp on te old battery was 09/2012 and it was hot to hold when removing it tonight.
