Gents,

 

Thank you for your replies. I am fairly competent but have no idea what you mean by a shaved monkey or a house basher?

 

Peter, how do you default the codes in order to deprogram it or is Google my friend?

Sorry we cannot give defaulting info here, but it is in the manual 

 

LOL about Shaved monkeys and House Bashers 

Get new panel change engineer code to something complicated , immediately lock panel leave it for four weeks and see if you can still do it

That is the hub of the problem......I don't have an engineer code so looking like a new panel. I'm guessing when I remove the cover off the current one it's going to be a tad noisy. I guess it's a disconnect at mains and disconnect back up battery to silence it then install the replacement panel and back up battery into it then try and program it.
