Merry Christmas everyone.

Looking at purchased a Texecom Ricochet Premier 32 Zone Wireless KIT for a new installation. I require at least 5 zones. Also have a house Cat.

The Hybrid KIT 0005 is any of the PIR sensors (Premier Elite QD-W, Premier Elite DT-W) that come with this kit 'Pet Immune'?

Would the other Kits like KIT-0002 have the Pet Immune PIR.

Also any advice or UK supplier would be useful

Merry Xmas, wireless pirs are not that good with active cats, if its a slow old cat you might be okay depending on where you place the detectors. Ideally you need to use proper pet tolerant detectors like the bosch bluelines (hard wired only) either that or just fit wireless shocks on all the windows.

I didn't say that all pet immune sensors are a bodge, some work better than other but all are flawed. Best way currently is perimeter detection.

so are these Pet Immune sensor like the  Premier Compact PW-W no good

Ive not had any issues with them and cats, although some cats (more so those who have the odd 5 minutes of crazy running around) do trigger them occasionally. as above, try and go for more perimeter protection with shocks, but if you do encounter the odd false alarm you could set the detectors to double knock

I never give a guarantee that a 'pet immune' system will work.

The only guaranteed way to make an intruder alarm work is to keep moving objects away from sensors that detect moving objects!.

Place animals in an area that isn't covered by a pir, it's not rocket science tbh.

Fitted much pet tolerant stuff over the years and the only PIR's I am confident in are the Bosch one's above.

If using anything else I would use perimeter protection.

Double knock is not an appropriate method of reducing false alarms, full stop.
