PeterJames
Why connect the float alarm to the burglar alarm? Surely you only need to be informed if there is a problem. You could wire it up to a doorbell or similar. norman
It would also be a ball ache to calibrate correctly. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool. There are flood detectors available that maybe able to work for your application. We use the Kentec Hydrosense system (available all over - do a google search for "kentec leak detection"). Can either have a local sounder etc, or connect to dialler / redcare, or local pagers etc. Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/40461-float-switch-alarm/page/2/#findComment-450576 Share on other sites

Make sure it's different to your usual doorbell sound, although judging by how the house sounds I assume that's one of Big Bens cast-offs? So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/40461-float-switch-alarm/page/2/#findComment-450590 Share on other sites
