Hi there, first post for me here.

Basically I've had a call where customer is unable to set the alarm due to what sounds like either damaged cable or maybe it's been snipped as there are works going on close by.

It's a Honeywell Galaxy panel which I know absolutely nothing about as am very new to the trade.

Can someone tell me if it's possible programme that device off until further investigation can be made so they can set the alarms again.

Thank you

Hi, when you say you are new to the industry, do you mean you are a security installer* working for yourself?

So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands

If system is setup so zones can be omitted then yes , entering user code and looking through menu for omit , it may come up with no entries, if so then you must call an engineer

Not if its a tamper, you will need to go into engineers and reprogram the circuit in question. Or fix it now

How 'close by' are the works ? one would imagine that it would be just as well to fix the fault first as last !!!

agreed

Yes man of course forgot that bit!
