Finally, a separate question, in my house I have had to move a radiator during a kitchen refit and I have a PIR (Pyronix Quad, 15 years old), I assume it is best to relocate the PIR!

 

Its the old how long is a piece of string question I suppose....

 

Something decent like a Siemens should have no issues over a rad.

 

I'm not saying Pyronix are any worse or better, just that I don't use them and 15 years is quite old...

So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands

Thanks for your replies last month, finally changed the external bellbox using method 1 and all powered up fine afterwards and I have moved the PIR away from the radiator.
