We have been notified that there is currently a network outage affecting Telefonica/O2 Global SIMs. 

 

It is affecting a number of services.

 

Will update when I find out more or have any progress reported.

 

 

Just the roaming Sims using o2 then? Id assume they will just hop onto another network if available?

Think this is the 3rd or 4th time now for Roaming Secures But it's the longest i think.

Yes, just "roaming SIMs", but no, they will not have the capability to roam because Network Registration has been lost. 

 

Its affect is data only, so Voice etc is still useable.

Depends on the installers wishes usually.

Don't forget webway has that smart reporting tool which intercepts failures.

Not sure if this is related but were having issues for some Dualcom units and Sourhern/Northen Monitering,

Dualcom goings through motions and accepts the handshake but nothing at ARC.

We have had notification that the issue has now been resolved.

 

In answer to Mr Happy, no I dont think anyone should have been disturbed out of hours for a service delivery issue...and yes Smart Reporting has protected the vast majority of sites that were affected by this problem.

Things are slowly getting back to normal . Good sign.
