Featured Replies

HI to all and thanks for the look .. I would ask this question what I can do make my Ts 400 to call me when main power is down , if there is any thing that I can do or buy , I already have the SD1-E speech dialler all I need is this Thanks

If you have an output you can program as ac fail then yes. If not you can use a 240 v relay to do it

No outputs on this, so no is the easy answer.

As James says a relay would be able to switch to activate the dialler. Just remember if the standby battery is not in good health as the mains fails the SD1 will fail to dial out as it will be running from the alarm panel battery.

I would use the relay from the tramsformer outputs to energise the coil, then use a N/O pair to send the neg to trigger 3 on the SD1 (Or 2 depending on what you are using). If you have the TS410 you have room, if it is the TS400 you may have to box the relay outside the panel as you know it is very tight in there.

If you go for it we can provide a diagram for you,

As always when working with mains, isolate and test before commencing works.

Regards.

Mains relay is the way to go, exactly like Ox.

In addition worth throwing a test keyswitch between the relay and the dialler.

That way if you have to isolate the mains yourself, you can disable it dialling.

A timer relay would be a good addition set at say 30 mins so only long fails are reported instead of minor small outages

Good idea, a TRM should do it.

TRM aka DRM or timed/delayed release module.

Is a relay with a timer built in.

Wire it in series with the switch between the two items, mains relay and dialler.

Mains relay can be anything with a 230v coil
