I look after quite a few schools we have DVRs in lots of school server rooms and they are all far worse than the above picture. You cant see the floor in one of the the server rooms at my daughters high school its just covered in cat 5 and everyone just walks on it like its some sort of carpet.

Surely this has got to be down to a personal pride in your work. Or once the invoice has been paid who cares?

I must move in the wrong circles as I have had subs picking fault if the screw ain't lined up.....

I believe we had a customer complain once that the fixing screws on her front door contact were differing shades of silver and that we must change them so that they matched...

scot, thats not what im saying mate

Oh no I get what you're saying. If it's locked away in a room somewhere and it causes the end user no grief then really who does care? I'm sure we've all seen/done a nest of vipers at some point in our time (probably the back of a cctv cabinet as that's where most of the ones I come across lurk)

I'm just in the same boat as MrHappy. Last Paxton job we done IT got in a cream puff when we patched into their cabinet with a different coloured cat 5 cable.

But alas I see you're nightmare tat and raise you;

I took it as joe blogs who doesn't know right from wrong not knowing the difference if it's done right or not. If i take my car to the mechanic and he does a bodge job but the fault goes away i would be none the wiser and smile while handing him the money.

If that's not what you meant then I read it the wrong way.
