August 2, 201213 yr comment_287182 Hi all I know its not recommended but i need to double up 2 pir's onto 1 zone, no more zones in panel and these two sensors are literally back to back pointing either way of long corridor. The panel is accord xpc and activ8 pir's, using double end of line resistor circuitry for zones Is this possible to double up ? if so hows it wired thanks Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/33223-ademco-accord-xpc-2-x-pir-on-1-zone/ Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 August 2, 201213 yr comment_287186 Yes your are right just crack on and double up, better still wire them in parallel to reduce fa's Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool. August 2, 201213 yr comment_287195 You may think its over kill but when you have a fa on that zone are you gonna replace both detectors. IIRC the XPC has a 9th zone on the RKP have you used that? August 2, 201213 yr Author comment_287197 not interested whether its morally correct or incorrect or not the done thing. i just know how i would like my system to work and would like to know whether anyone can help achieve this with some helpful info, cos thats what forums are made for.. just want to use two pirs on one double end of line zone, ademco uses 2 x 1k resistors by the way. Can i achieve this? my ultimate goal. thanks Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/33223-ademco-accord-xpc-2-x-pir-on-1-zone/#findComment-287197 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 August 2, 201213 yr comment_287199 not interested whether its morally correct or incorrect or not the done thing. Sorry to be harsh but why should we be interested. You have been told how to do it, politely and helpfully. Your best option is to use the keypad zone if available.
