8 Core For Mains

Featured Replies

I worked for an alarm company who finally ended up being one of the biggest names in alarm kit manufacture in the world based in Manchester............ I would regularly turn up to jobs where the mains was wire in 8 core. Usually it was stapled around the gripper rod back to the panel and in one instance around a playroom going a good 20mts back to the panel.

Nice one T

Tbh i couldnt leave the alarm like that especially in a playroom with kids.

It would be marked on the service sheet. If something happened and you were the last to service the system are you liable?

Scary stuff indeed.

Seen it loads of times.

Luckily (For the client) I picked it up and changed.

Luckily (For the cnut that did it) we never met. As I would have kicked three kinds out of him.

It is things like this that quite deservedly make us out as cnuts in this industry.
