How does it perform though?

I havnt seen one myself either. Id assume it can do more than cif. Ill have a dig and see what i can find. I do like the ease of use for the end uset. Bit few get this right

I had a play with one at there Warrington office about a month ago (they call it the Smarty Box)

Quite a good bit of kit for the size we are still waiting for costings but was assured it would be cheap, well it looks cheap anyway.

We are now buying DM stuff from DM saving quite a few £££ over the other bunch.

CIF available at 25pps (PAL), 30pps (NTSC) per camera• 2CIF available at 12pps (PAL), 15pps (NTSC) per camera

• D1/4CIF available at 6pps (PAL), 7pps (NTSC) per camera

Bit weak on framerate IMO, but as the post i made about fps then 12 fps is more than enough, but id prefer a little more than 6 sometimes if i had to use D1.

yep, i was gonna add another sprite to an existing site a month back and was told i could buy direct. Customer went for COP instead lol, made more on COP unit anyway

re the COP unit, what is it and how does it compare to the DM?

Still, judging by the look of that unit, we know which market they are aiming at.
