Graded Door Contacts

Recommended Posts

I'll get some piccys and post in trade. as for the rf stuff, think we need to go that route for interconnecting hangers anyway so a good idea ox.

on the otherhand, was talk of takex poles etc, so moling also an option. early days yet only went for 1st consultation this morning.

soz, not out to dis, all constructive input welcome. i just get too excited sometimes & forget who said what, to whom & when. :'(

been thinkin, might do one of those sneaky installs, where part g3, & part g2 without downgrading the g3. might see if can do part with keyholder only for area where not possible to grade at all (hanger with no doors at all :fear: )

no probs, i've just not had a good bitch at anyone lately - got to keep in practice lol!

interesting problem to solve so just thinking aloud here, i don't see how having no doors at all can ever comply with (well what regs i know of about ) G3,

I would have thought best it can get is G1 i.e. not URN able so not Police signalled.

i've used the wireless Risco watchouts, are really excellent at discriminating between animals, trees etc while 'catching' humans, so say one either side using narrow beam across the opening might be an option (wired dual-tec version might be better and G3 if it go's that way eventually),

could you use the 'go away' type voice warning type sensors on approaches?

aiming for urn on certain wards (partions), bells only where appropriate - all within same system. eg control outputs from wards to suit.

need to sharpen me reg skills to accommodate but think can be done. reckon war & peace re-read beginning to sound better though.

how good those watchouts at sheep brezzin through. reckon air's gonna be difficult.

(meant point to points - active ir, sorry didnt read well)

dont use cos both on same zone & dont like magnet- sticky out too far so liable for a bash.

Risco ones are on separate zones

think James is the man for a definitive on the Regs,

interestin idea, but guessing wards or not, if linked in any way just one G2 contact/design anywhere and the whole system is G2 rated (iirc from other discussions i've read in here).

Not tried the Watch Out with sheep, Essex is cow country (usually with white shoes and handbags for dancing round ;) )

when we used to have our famed 'dotty rotty', she would charge down the garden squeaker in mouth, not barking but squeaking. then walk back with that sort strutting gate of 'am i it' air, it was just hilarious to see. even joined in with some cats screeching at each other in another garden, now imagine the 'chorus' of her joining on the squeaker.

still miss that stupid hound.

only had it on chime for testing, never false tripped once, when neighbour stepped over the fence to retrieve a ball it zapped him immediately.
