Tsi Auction Area?

Featured Replies

Surely you could have a trade only section of the auction for those items that should only sold to the trade?, some of those items for sale might be wanted by another trade member.

some panels are 'trade only' supplied - would those makers be too pleased if panel, let alone the engineer manuel was sold to a non-trade public member?

I will be the first TSI Power seller.

Go for it, but i would keep it to items relating to intruder, cctv, fire, access ect otherwise its another crappy ebid effort.

i can see this being an add on to the warehouse ;)

ask to buy enough of something and the "trade only" facade soon fades with all but the most specialist suppliers IMO.

Some suggestions...

Modern Panels that require programming, Area detectors (with advanced technologies; Microwave, pet immune, etc) should be restricted to SECUREBAY trade forum.

New Batteries (old batteries should not be sold, except to recyclers), Sirens (SAB's), contacts, Basic cameras, etc. can perhaps be sold on the SECUREBAY open forum.

A SECUREBAY recycling section may also be included - old batteries, left over short cable lengths, etc.

The difference between what can be sold on the SECUREBAY open forum vs the SECUREBAY trade forum should depend on the required level of technical configuration required.

Also rules to what can and cannot be sold should also factor possible health and safety requirements. (All items should need to be pre-approved by a moderator, before post/advert is accepted!)

Just a few thoughts...

I'm up for it! I have loads of stuff that i need to get rid of before my tax bill in January!!!!

Seriously though, the question of selling to diy and products to the public was raised at an NSI training seminar last week and seems to be "strongly discouraged" A plethora of good business reasons was proffered for not selling to public but I have a unit full of old stuff....
