How to wire vaiani siren, on g2-20.
Read OPs message again The issue they are having is they don't know where to put the siren -ve on the panel they have been putting it in the 0v hold off connection and its been causing the alarm to go off If it is a programming issue go to engineer mode, select option 53 type in 03 and make sure it is set to bell and the state is positive

Alarm upgrade required - recommendations please
I fit orisec and its really good I'm not a big fan of risco I would recommend a cp20 with a cm2 WiFi module and a wireless access point for your needs Another good option is a Scantronic ion 40h i would be interested in buying the old system from you

Risco agility 2 & 3
No they are not backwards compatible you can only use the same version keypad with the panel version Let's just say I learned that the hard way

SMPS vs Linear
I'm not saying don't use them I'm saying to make them better The pyronix enforcer PSUs would just drop thier output to 1 or 2 volts and panel would run on the backup battery until it went flat

Honeywell Galaxy G48 - Door Forced Fault
I had a similar issue with a galaxy 96 where it showed a tamper on a rio that didn't exist Rebooting the panel fixed the issue BUT MAKE SURE THE BIOS BATTERY IS GOOD
-
SMPS vs Linear
I don't mind them when thier decently made but quite a few have or had issues like the enforcer and early premier elites

Texecom Premier alarm pir sensor battery change
Yes you can change the detector yourself and reset it as the panel is user reset
-
SMPS vs Linear
A issue of switch mode PSUs use underrated components or the components are under stress

Visonic Z02 Low Battery
Never liked old visonic as the stuff was clunky, 1 way wireless which is awful and the PIRs look like eggs when they yellow
-
SMPS vs Linear
Can't beat a proper transformer

Powering down Galaxy panel for adding modules
I was never a fan of the use of a bios battery In these panels I prefer the galaxy g2 approach better with a NVM And who remembers the old galaxy's with the capacitor to store the programming which would wipe their programming I'd you left them off for too long
