  1. Thanks for your help , I have taken your help on board and as I am going to replace the system I will not bother changing the battery or play the lottery Thanks
  2. Hi All I am in the middle of awaiting a new alarm been installed , never had an issue apart from the tamper circuits going off when new keypads was fitted by the electrician a while ago and the tamper circuits was bridged out to stop the alarm going off , I had the power off today and the alarm kept going off showing tamper alarm and inputting the code only stopped it for 1 minute. just wondering what caused it , not a problem as power back on and it ok now thanks
  3. Found an installer I liked , going with Risco Lightsys plus , optex pir's and telecom backlit Bell box. They only fit Lightsys plus and maintain them as well. hopefully all goes ok.
  4. Ok, so im now looking at not going wireless but all wired. Had one quote so far and if thats the going price I will keep what I have as I can see companies in other parts of the country 60%less than the price of my quote. Any way got 3 more coming out in the next 2 weeks. Any ideas on Euro 46 please Thanks
  5. Hi , I am getting installed by company, we have seen the Risco lightsys touchscreen which the wife likes but it seems nobody likes Risco. When we get some one in what questions should I ask ? Thanks
  6. Wife want a good looking keypad . Want internet access thanks
  7. Hi All I have a 25 year old Veritas wired alarm and I am wishing to upgrade to a smart hybrid alarm. I like the look of a Risco Lightsys system but I see the installers dont seem to like it, can you tell me why its not liked please. Alternative is Orisec as we want touchscreen keypads which seems to be a liked system, I have 4 pir's 3 contacts, internal sounder, garage door contact and bell box all wired but a couple of pirs and one contact are in telephone cable so they need to be wireless, so I need Bell box wired control panel 2 wired pirs 2 wireless pirs 1 wired contact 2 wireless contact any idea of a cost for what I need. is the Risco and Orisec comparable price wise ? Do any other systems do touchscreen keypads ? Many Thanks
