Texecom Premier Elite - Door as Entry/Exit by day but guard by night?
No gave up on them when they started to want 300 quid a year plus had odd problems on a site where cloud worked intermittently for no obvious reason and Vanderbilt never really seemed interested. Shame as excellent product hardware wise. All SPC customers moved to Eaton now, luckily the one that had combined access changed their working practices around the same time to full time receptionist so didn't really need proper access just door open when unset in am...

Did I tell you the local branch of Santander has a fire panel with the Mercury Telecom logo on? And I don't mean a sticker, deffo part of the branding of the unit. It's without question the same Mercury that set up to compete with BT (later C+W, now Vodafone). Did they branch out into FM for one short badly thought out minute?

Nah, a man comes round & you pay by putting coins into a tin! TBF as a consequence to ambulance work over the years I've abandoned any desire to actually get a licence, which I once quite wanted to.- Article Euralarm: BRE anticipates on Brexit implications for UK Notified Bodies

True some of the guys we come across on the ambo have got bundles of notes hidden away.- Texecom Hands On Help Needed
TBF I found the Texecom a great panel, but, with so much progress, updates and extra features since it was first launched almost impossible to program without using a PC. I can't imagine myself doing it from scratch using the keypad, too many cryptic 'stars underneath acronyms' to indicate options etc... At least the Eaton lets you scroll through each feature as a Yes/No type option etc... Also even the basic ones could be progged via a browser page on your home network. I don't live near you - I think you may struggle to find someone prepared to work with you in that way, although, good luck!- Article Euralarm: BRE anticipates on Brexit implications for UK Notified Bodies
Don't get me wrong I did my first few installs for the price of a pint + equipment, but I literally do mean the first few. And even then usually as an add on to my own electrical work at full price. (Shortly after I mostly worked for the same contractor anyway for a few years.)- Article Euralarm: BRE anticipates on Brexit implications for UK Notified Bodies

Interesting document but pretty much what I expected, do testing in UK as before but get product stamped at next nearest English speaking EU fweind. Now, off topic.... Nah Logan people are just buying Nest / ring / ArgosChinkTat plug-n-pray 'home monitoring' 'solutions' now. Buy it, plug it in on lounge table Forget you are paying £2.99 a month for 10 years Send heartwarming footage of cat / dog / toddler captured by tat 'burgling' that gets 10k retweets c/w brand name of tat I see zero future for someone trying to start a traditional alarm business now unless they are b2b at a corporate level, which of course you'll not get easily as a OMB new starter now (or then without some serious contacts). And even then Norms tales of Gunnebo are slightly surprising to me. etc... I don't even see a future for older Yale type products* for much longer. Either that or they will be self-promoted in the field as 'semi-pro alarm kit' *And nor do Yale - looks like they have just launched a le-sucre like model called 'Sync'.... I wonder if they will simply ditch the 'traditional' range. TBF Can't really blame them, how can you a £700 CCTV installation complete with wires and a big black box vs. 2 x £159 wireless Nest cams back to back with nearest 13A socket... I've even seen some new houses with upper floor USB 13A sockets in slightly odd places I am certain to to allow easy and fairly neat wifi cam installs.- Texecom Elite Resistor Value Changing
I would simply change each detector to the default option of 2.2K in series with the tamper and 4.7K across the alarm contact. That will pretty much future proof the system. It's worth the effort for the little time it will take.- Texecom Elite Resistor Value Changing
2.2k + 4.7k = zone active. The alarm contacts are usually CLOSED. You need only 2.2k resistors across each zone for closed zone testing purposes, however, this won't make it easy to test opening a zone. I would wire at least one proper contact in for a bench test. It's better to buy contacts with such resistors built in, it's so much easier and they cost pennies.- Accenta 6 keypad
Replace with Euro Mini / 9651 / Texecom etc... Or, tbf, maybe not, as I did think that myself.- Accenta 6 keypad
When was it last serviced and battery changed? How long was the power off for? - SW-1070 External Bell Not Sounding
