Lol- Gardtec repair or replace
Ah just in case no-one thinks it's true... https://www.riscogroup.com/uk/products/product/3937 However, the reason I didn't realise is that this is a bit hidden. If you go into Risco (UK) website, as I did a few months back when I thought E aton weren't ever going to deliver V6 software, you get told they do Lightsys, Agility and Prosys only. https://www.riscogroup.com/uk/content/professional-solutions-2- xm 6 optima alarm.
I don't think that 17 year old discussion particularly helps any argument tbh Ultimately; customer messes, customer accepts they were the last to touch the system and accepts any consequences, I cannot imagine any insurer, or any judge in any court having any issue with that, nor stating that you have a safety duty of care NOT to provide specific manufacturers data or manuals.- xm 6 optima alarm.
You leaving the installer manual will not affect your liability (if any) one jot.- xm 6 optima alarm.
As above it is not normal practice to have been given the installer manual for a professionally installed alarm system. Also as above, if a system of this age 'goes wrong', the installer manual is unlikely to be of any use beyond disabling it pending a replacement system. Unless you're a fan of 30 year old washing machines, microwaves, TVs, light bulbs, cars... etc... it seems odd to be wanting to keep a 30 year old alarm going.- Be proud you install the BEST!
Either way it seems to be in competition with the black one to the left- Be proud you install the BEST!
And he doesn't mean Pyronix- Be proud you install the BEST!
Guessing it's in fact not a melcom but not exactly a great name to have chosen for an installer!- Be proud you install the BEST!

I thought it was long discontinued? But who is right?- Gardtec repair or replace
Yes I was just wondering did the panel ruin the battery, or did a duff battery ruin the panel. Either way spares are long gone for this obselete system. I'm guessing the alarm otherwise still meets your needs. Systems are much of a muchness now, so something like a Pyronix Euro mini, Texecom Premier, Eaton (Scantronic) 40H will be ideal. Are the expanders all remote, or next to the panel? Two of the above systems can give you 2 zones on the keypad if that helps. Also the Eaton comes with 10 zones on board plus free Cloud based self monitoring e.g. apple or android app.- Gardtec repair or replace
