Solar Power Solution for CCTV???
Thinking of doing similar. Most poe nvrs need 240v supply, i think i'd use a 12v nvr or dvr without poe and just power the cameras at 12v, one less inefficient power conversion. when i worked on a few sites that were being surveyed for wind generating sites the wind measurement devices (lidar and ultrasonic anemometers with data logging and a satellite modem) were powered from banks of gel batteries in a bund charged from a few solar panels. The draw at 12v was around 2a and these things were left there for months. I would charge a hefty maintenance fee though.

Temperature compensation? you are asking a load of questions over a number of posts would it not be easier to lump them into one post?

Why strobes are wired independent
Quite often burglars are drug users. The purpose of a strobe is if the burglar has dropped an e recently and they see a strobe light they will stop what they are doing and start dancing like a loon. The strobe can keep them dancing for up to 12 hours, which is almost long enough for police to attend and catch them. If they can be bothered.

Take a closeup of the combiner, so i can read the writing. Tried a different channel? Different tv? Mind you panasonics never really cause any problems. try straight to tv with lcn800 try program 1 try modulator-attenuator-tv bypassing combiner and amp. An inexpensive dvb meter would really help, you dont need the spectrum function it just saves a lot of time. I have my old one for sale if you want a cheap one. https://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/satlink-professional-digital-freeview-and-satellite-setup-meter/1188366704?utm_campaign=socialbuttons&utm_content=app_ios&utm_medium=social&utm_source=sms

Make sure the channel you are using is 2 clear of anything your aerial is picking up, and make sure it is below ch59, as most modern aerial kit filters out everything above 59 for 4g/lte rejection. i have fitted dozens of these, only faulty ones i ever had were fried after a direct lightning strike which took out loads of kit in the building. Did you give it a unique lcn? Try 800.

What panel is it? It might have lost its memory and defaulted.

Yes. Usually either anyiference or vision, depends what they have on the shelf ag solutions group. If i'm stacking more than 2 devices in the rf chain i'll use a combiner and a few variable attenuators and use my spectrum analyser to tweak until all the muxes have a similar signal level at the faceplates.

That is an utter ***** router you could well be doing it right but the router may well be not playing the game, they are very tempramental. get something decent like a tplink 9980 and enjoy better internet into the bargain too. first thing to check though is that you arent behind carrier level nat, some isps are now issuing non nattable ip addresses, check that what your router thinks it's ip address is tallies with what you get when you type "what is my ip addresss" into google. If you are really struggling install teamviewer and drop me a pm.

That is definitely not what you need. Hdmi camt give out an analogue picture without a pricey converter box, that is just a chinktat nonsense lead. If the tv has freeview get a dvb hdmi modulator, or run an hdmi or cat5 and use an hdbaset extender. The technomate is a decent wee unit as long as you can take into account its high rf out, otherwise the edision version has a variable software controlled attenuator built in but its 60 quid dearer and an external attenuator for the technomate is only a couple of quid. i'm not familiar with the system q product. technomate has noticably lowerlatency which makes a difference if you are trying to use a mouse via the modulated feed.

Btw gloryholewebcam1-150 is already taken by norm, i've reserved 150-300. when you set up portforwarding properly you should notice it is a lot faster to connect as well, and cameras will be listed by name if you have named them in osd settings

80 8000 and 554 set your dvr to a static ip on the local network, preferable either outside the dhcp scope, or if you dont know dhcp lease pool .200 is a good bet. Set gateway and dns adrress on dvr to point to your routers local ip usually something like 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.254 set up incoming portforwarding on tcp ports 80 8000 and 554 to point to the local address tou gave the dvr. go to the dvr network settings and enable hiddns and give it a unique name something like gloryholewebcam123 in ivms on your phone delete the existing device and add a new one but this time select register mode hiddns and domain name is what you called the dvrs hiddns name you might run into problems if another device like your routers remote admin page is also trying to host on port 80 but that wont cause an issue with the phone or tablet app just remote pc access.

Just use the dvrs built in hiddns.

Notifications go through the cloud server but the live view link connects through traditional port forwarding so you need to properly setup port forwarding and ddns, or when you get a notification login through the cloud link for live view.
