  1. I would go for the newer 7216 hghi-sh then you can reuse any analogue cameras you already have, and upgrade to 1080p hd-tvi cameras on any channel plus you can add an additional 2 ip cameras.

I might have one in the workshop you can have for the same price as the old analogue hwi one.

  2. you should still get a wee router, something like a tplink 3420, then stick a dongle in the usb with a payg 3 simcard with £30 or so on it and set the router for 3g failover and spoof the mac on the wan port and you have yourself a nice bit of connection path redundancy, and you can change servers to your hearts delight and not have to worry about nics etc.

  3. Goncall, I love you to bits but I have had a lot of hassle on this one, My original post was a basic question placed in good faith..and for the most part answered likewise..you may have noticed a few of my posts both yesterday and today regarding this topic, under the circumstances, and for the benefit of the site, it might be better to let this one die a natural death, were I to upload anything at the moment then it throws yet another spanner in the works..Hope.. I know.. you understand. Thanks.

And yet in numerous other thread you wont accept straigh answers you keep going on and on and on about only taking gospel proof from those sexy professional admin.
  4. Both are low quality imo.

    For me, budget, pyronix enforcer.

    Premium texecom ricochet.

Scantronic is 1 way wireless, obsolete flawed technology.

Risk-o is plasticky and has a high failure rate.

Pyronix gear has an annoyingly high part failure rate too, but at least it is cheap, and user friendly.

Galaxy is quality kit but not as refined for home use as texecom.

  5. You had irrefutable proof in post 4. You walk around the house on a 2 way system, leds on DETECTORS do not light up as you walk round, then put the panel in walk test and walk round and leds on DETECTORS light up now. If this is not clear proof the panel is signalling back to the detectors to activate them then i can only assume whoever is asking the question over and over again is somewhere on the autistic spectrum.
