  1. seriously well done, sorry to take the post away from you mate..
  2. ? guessing a dig at kings somewhere ?
  3. don't get all touchy i'm only kidding..
  4. well done, you've completed step 1 in gaining NSI Gold...
  5. had new pads and discs the other day and was looking at the new shape octavia, it's very audi like
  6. We didn't apply to NSI in the first place Matt, went straight for SSAIB because it was the easy option. Now we're better established and understand what we're doing I feel we are in a better position to apply for NSI. Agree but I'd be happier if we were NSI lol, yes... although I do drive a skoda?
  7. because it's a stepping stone to Gold..
  8. We're SSAIB and sometimes I get asked whats the difference between SSAIB and NSI. Here's what I say "not much really, just 2 different inspection bodies".. which satisfies most. When we have NSI Silver my answer will change to "SSAIB is easier to get and as an NSI approved company we have to work much harder to prove we meet the standard".. When we're Gold my answer will be "We are the best local firm you'll get around here"..
  9. I can't think of anything worse than an insiders guide on how to do our job which will be available to all and sundry on eBay/down the pub etc.. Why help all the plumbers and car washers steal our business??
  10. screw wireless tat to wall, learn wireless tat on, test wireless tat, get customer to sign. pretty much it?
  11. there are some installers on the website, they're NICEIC and everything else a professional security company needs..
  12. i don't remember saying that actually, can you direct me to my post where that was said please? yeah, look what you've done!
  13. see, yet again assumptions. you're assuming we have alarms in london aren't you. we do other things than just alarms and they don't require 4 hours onsite.
  14. well you can't be talking about me as i don't have second home anywhere. i never moan about working in london, i'd rather not but a couple of our biggest clients have things there we look after so it's not my choice. work is work regardless of where it is but london is still a dump and generally full of *******.
  15. sometimes you are so full of **** it's unbeliveable. if you care to read the other thread fully, the guy you're talking about is actually heading out on the M4.
  16. i detest london with a passion which is a pain as we there at least once a week. if i go it's because i want to see some very specific things so where it is has no impact on the decision to go or not.
  17. a day rate is the rate you pay for a days work. if he has only worked 2 hours then I would pay half a day. if he has only worked 6 hours then i would pay a full day depending on the prior relationship.
  18. read my post above yours - it might be that it's not kept in sleep mode even when part set.
  19. part set? bedroom? if a detector isn't included in a part set then i guess it would stay asleep and therefore no LED?
  20. I thought they went to sleep when the system is unset (isn't that the point of 2 way?) and therefore shouldn't come on anyway??
