Hi guys I have a galaxy flex panel, also have a max3 reader outdoors which is set to a sep zone that arms and disarms the alarm for our yard outside, i know I can get the ethernet module and download the gx control app, how is this set up? Would i need a static ip addess? Or is there any other way of doing this? We use a 4g sim router (tp link) as it has the best quality signal and speeds in our area. Any kind of help would be appriciated. Thanks
Hi Niki
You would probably need to get your installer to set this up for you

Realistically scrap
Still better than a verisure system though

You have either pulled a wire out or not closed the tamper switch on the lid properly

Recently sub says I want to change my own batteries , I said carry on , after a few weeks of continuous tamper alarm alarms because they couldn't close covers properly, they kept getting low batteries, changed battery reset keeps coming back same problem
I get this all the time, cutomers save a few quid buying their own cheaper than we can buy for. But we have to buy from a proper source, and usually if something is a lot cheaper then its for a reason. We buy batteries direct we know where they come from they are genuine and we turnover batteries very quickly so they have not been sitting around for six months. Buying from Amazon Ebay or even the bigger warehouses like B&Q you have no idea how long they have been sitting on the shelf, if the staff have recirculation the shelf. People do not realise batteries have a shelf life and that there are plenty of fake batteries out there too

Agreed with James, I too dont know ion stuff but assuming its two way wireless and lithium batteries you should get 18 months minimum. Are you able to adjust the rf poling? its the only thing that could be draining the battery, but in that case I would expect them all to be coming up low battery

you havent wired the bedroom pir up correctly if you have a tamper fault
-
Call your installer
-
As above, its not in the user programing settings

Hi and welcome, CCTV has come a long way in the last few years you can get systems with trip wires and intrusion boxes, when set up correctly the camera will only inform you if a human, or a vehicle, or both humans or vehicles enter the intrusion box or cross the tripwire. To be clear it can be set up as either singular or both.
Some systems can go much further than this you can have a system set up to alert you if anyone with a red jumper enters the site if you needed to.
-
If your recorder has it you can also arm/disarm remote viewing from an input like say your intruder alarm, this would be overridden if a 24hr device activated like PA. This way the ARC only have access when the system is armed you can automate the arming using an output on the intruder so when set or part set the CCTV is armed when the intruder system is disarmed so is the CCTV

If you need it monitored with Police response then it has to be installed by a accredited installer
Put your postcode in here https://www.nsi.org.uk/company-finder/

You mentioned before , but why don't intruder switch to Paxton type coded fobs etc
Simply cost right ?
I want it for a hkc panel so staff can't copy the fobs
My controller and reader will do that, gimme a call Monday

Hey mate, are u suggesting that I should sig up for NSI membership?
No Im suggesting you put your postcode in on the sites "search for company in your area" and contact the companies close to you.

I have locked readers and fobs, they are wiegand so should work with paxton controllers alternately I have a stand alone controller the cost would be about £200.00 for controller and reader and the fobs are £4.00 ea as I have to program them specially
-
There is a shortage of good engineers in the UK you should have no trouble finding something. As above the NSI and SSAIB websites are a good place to start
-
Costly mistake spending a load of money on DIYing G3 stuff only to be told by the installer that they wont take it on.

It may get it working for now. Really it's the charging rate to check not just voltage.
QFA if your battery has been knackered for a long time the charging circuit will not be able to charge a battery anymore. Under load that 13v will be more like 9v
-
So long as the charging circuit is not knackered you could replace the battery and wait 24hours until its fully recharged, you should be able to turn the power off for around 8 hours without the sounder sounding, its either that or diss the sounder, but be warned the strobe has high voltage.

What does it say in the log?

It’s a high value shop. So you decided that you needed to skimp on the security and fit it yourself We have done the install and now are getting Chubb to take over and do monitoring and maintaince. If you havent done it properly they will want to rip it out and start again, not only that all of the detection and panel is not going to be covered by their warranty and they wont let you touch it if they do take it over. Not sure that they would want a premier anyway. Should be a grade 4 once finished with signalling ect This tells me you know very little about security systems and you think the higher the number the better the security. My dad is bigger than your dad.
we want to know that the glass is broken before then enter as it’s bullet proof glass If someones broken the glass there already in
What are you selling?

We have a motion sensor but if glass is broken this won’t set the motion sensor off
It will if someone then enters.
Also it wont be G3 if your not an accredited installer
