  1. The Rotherham factory is a sleeper cell.... every time you set your alarm with the app your location & forward facing camera is captured. A bloke in China tracks your movements his cousin at the takeaway is also an informant & should you have a ZTE mobile you may as well just surrender to the Chinese Embassy
  2. Bet your ISP has a load of Huawei kit....
  3. if the zones show open when the cicuit is closed did you check resistance between alarm & tamper pairs ? (2+ had tamper per zone (IIRC)) Before changing any devices I'll link zones out & see if the panels goosed, it will on or around 25 yrs old ?
  4. you check the resistance of the circuits ?
  5. Alarm batteries are lead acid gel batteries, I'm impressed if you've manged to top one up with water....
  6. When I was younger & slimer I got bored of tossing about with call back & bits of card & start with a screw for the tamper tab, sadly nobody done a rkp as slim & stylish as 9825 /9625 since scanny late 80's effort
  7. Very nice but I think the fourm exclusively worships Zuul the Gatekeeper of Gozer ?
  8. I though you where meant to put a plug & screw under the plastic tamper tab & adjust the height of the screw head to suit ?
  9. unplugging your knacked battery with have little effect on the system, a decent battery will make the system work for 8hrs or more without mains power
  10. I'd sold you a nice new in 2007, again in 2012 & guess what you'd be buying on or before dec 2017.... A nice new standby battery
  11. I don't use 'em I'd contact my home forces "alarms admin" & ask for Warrickshire's details. They'll all appear to talk to one another...
  12. Controls, Cable or Device Controls - the output is knacked (0v present when their should not be) Cable - the cable is knacked (short of 0 to strobe trigger) Device - the bell is knacked (flashing when it should not) If you don't use it get it disconnected ?
  13. thought you flogged ip stuff rather than dirtied your hands fitting alarms ?
  14. I can think of dozens that have tried it, good luck
  15. If you have contents insurance, check with your insurer that your diy effort is not going to be pulled out by a proper alarm co. to put it on redcare ect... 8 zone controls for a house with a remote keypad are a lot cheaper than just a remote keypad for proper controls.... if you want cheap buy a dummy box, if you want a dummy adt box from ebay you'll pay more than the 8 zone house controls with keypad
  16. when some join we'll charge 'em a subscription
  17. The nerd forum has been down most of the week. I don't know if anyone else had contacted already contacted JW but I texted him yesterday & it was back when I looked again an 1hr or so later. No matter where the forum is located it still needs a sysop to sort issues, its a hobby forum fitted around JW's work & family commitments, he's go it back up whilst on holiday

  21. IIRC GJD gem ? sadly I'm still find this & pyronix colts screwed to ceilings & have to used bracketed sensors in their place
