Hello Everybody, I love this site! (hmmm that probably makes me really sad?) Well I've been involved in the security industry for about 10 years, mainly in sales and marketing, and I set up on my own six years ago. We install intruder, cctv and access control but our main speciality is domestic intruder alarms connected to an ARC. Hi to all. Found this site whilst researching replacing the brace of old alarms I've inherited in my new house - I've posted a 'War & Peace' question on the General Security thread! I work in the IT security field and have no real knowledge of alarm systems at all -maybe a bit on physical security aspects, but not a great deal! about 20 years doing alarms cctv etc, now i have found this great site i will try and depart some of my funny and not so funny stories. my best ones are call outs around 2 am, i will try and find time to put them in. hope to hear from you all soon

So, whats it like being in this business in Europe? Probly about like it is in the USA... I'm a service manager for Interface Security In Louisiana. Isnt this the greatest industry to be a part off??!! I found this site while looking for a manual for Electronic Line systems. The "Sumit" systems. I stumbled across this site whilst searching the web for jobs. I currently work in bristol for a specialist CCTV and Access Control design and install company. I am currently looking to relocate to staffordshire to be closer to family. Hi everybody i have been away from the game for about 6 years and just recently getting back into it. I think this site is spot on and very useful. I worked for Modern Alarms about 6 or 7 years ago as a Trainee install engineer. Learnt loads very good Company back then dont know what they r like under //.National Installer.//. My only set back is not much exposure to digicom or redcare so alot of my Qs will be about that i expect.
