I love this site! (hmmm that probably makes me really sad?)

Well I've been involved in the security industry for about 10 years, mainly in sales and marketing, and I set up on my own six years ago. We install intruder, cctv and access control but our main speciality is domestic intruder alarms connected to an ARC.

More recently I set up a company which specialises in helping non approved alarm installers (or approved ones who don't want the hassle!) make long term recurring income from monitoring. You'll probably all prove me wrong but I've found that most independent alarm companies don't bother offering monitoring to their customers unless the customer specifically asks? We have developed a demonstration which converts 50% of customers to monitoring. (In the case of my own company we have around 80% of our intruder customers subscribing to monitoring). We then do all the administration, connection to the ARC, annual invoicing so the installer builds recurring income without having to lift a finger or ever install another system!

We are only working locally (within a 50 mile radius of sunny middlesbrough) but hope to roll this out nationally early next year. If any of you are interested in receiving any more info just let me know.
