Hi I have a Samsung 1673d dvr using the ipolis mobile ddns server going to my gmail account, when doing a Email test it has started to show, failed to test Unknown error,  it has worked great for years and also does not send any emails for alarms or video loss when activated.

has anyone got a 1673 who uses this on their dvr that can help.

many thanks.

Probably your internet provider , although ipolis itself has also become problematic for some

Scrap the recorder get something easier to use , you probably got old cams anyway that will work with newer machines

gmail account,

years ago I tried using "free" email providers with dvrs,

gmx mail worked better than gmail,

they need humans to sell stuff via advertising to provide a "free" service, machines get blocked as they don't have a wallet....

I have my DVR set up for Gmail and tbf it was flawless until I turned off the alerts when covid happened. I tried it a couple of years ago and iirc it was a Gmail issue/update that stopped working.

Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

I have various email servers that arnt free. but willing to let active trade members use em

Just a quick up date I have now sorted it you need to generate a app password in your gmail account with the name of the app I put in ipolis you get a 16 dig password, then enter into dvr smtp mailing service and all works ok.

thanks for all the help.
