Hi,

I moved into a house with a concept6 alarm. The code is known. I want to change some sockets and need to turn the mains/socket fuse off. However as soon as I do the alarm goes off and I can't disarm it as the keypad dead at this point. Any help please?

Cheers!

The system isn't working correctly.

It likely hasn't been serviced in a long time and either the battery is faulty and/or the panel charging circuit has blown.

This would need repairing or the whole system decommissioning before you can isolate the power without triggering the outside siren.

Sorry we don't give instructions for burglars to disable alarms on a public forum.

It isn't as simple as removing a fuse for obvious reasons

So long as the charging circuit is not knackered you could replace the battery and wait 24hours until its fully recharged, you should be able to turn the power off for around 8 hours without the sounder sounding, its either that or diss the sounder, but be warned the strobe has high voltage.

It may get it working for now. Really it's the charging rate to check not just voltage.

QFA if your battery has been knackered for a long time the charging circuit will not be able to charge a battery anymore. Under load that 13v will be more like 9v
