Recently changed my keypad for an updated version to fit 9651 Scantronic. After installing it which was fitted whilst in installer mode, it has come up with low battery. I since replaced the battery for new bearing in mind the original was a year old. Did the half reset on the panel now can use the code but still showing low battery and cant use the factory reset number as it says wrong code. Do i need to ask an engineer to come out and do a reset.

no codes please

If the system was on engineer reset for tamper events then the installer code will need to be used to reset the system.

It's possible you still have a fault with the charging circuit or the standby battery, which needs testing with a multimeter.

iirc scantronic have an electronic fuse for charging, try down powering and powering back up, bear in mind your battery is probably flat now anyway.

If your previous battery was over 4 years old chances are the charging circuit was already on its way out.

Ideally you need a multimeter to check whats going on, without one your like a blind man without his white stick
