All good dude

The dimension is a great panel to do weird things with

yep, got one more RIO to go onto line 2 so as long as it accepts that then I'll be pretty happy

planning to add some security lighting controlled by relays onto it as the next project ?

Hi there, new on the portal. Bought new GD520 kit, firstly wired only the keypad to get it started, bridged all the zones on the board. But when powering up it only buzzes and flashes stars non-stop. Where did I go wrong. All the equipment is new from Honeywell.

As I remember there are no zones on a 520 only outputs. and theyre all looking for eol not shorts

I stand corrected the GD520 has 16 onboard zones its the old Gal Microtec the only has rio inputs.

Its still looking for eols though and have you correctly set the keypad id

Maybe give more detail and pictures , and what do you mean new from Honeywell?

Are you connected to line 1?  , as above keypad address although default it should have worked

Sorry for getting back to you late. By being new I mean I am not familiar with the Honeywell panels.

I stand to be corrected in this, upon powering up a new panel it scans the modules on the bus line an picks them up for enrolment. Mine when I connect the keypad alone it keeps beeping and flashing stars, it does not get to a point where it shows the panel information. I suppose this means there is no communication with the panel.

How do I fix this now, both keypad and panel are new from the box, returning this for replacement will take me months +. I connected the 2 with twisted pair mylar.

I have connected to all the lines and changed keypad addressing as well and still same result, still no comms.

So going back it seems you think both keypads work

But are sending line 2 downstairs

Why not just put everything on to line 1?
